Digital Fashion Design & Production (Intermediate Women’s Shirt & Skirt)
11 Sessions | Total of 33 hours (3 hours/session)
Welcome to our Digital Fashion Design & Production (Intermediate Women’s Shirt & Skirt) Course! This course will guide you through the full design to production process! From digitally designing clothes to equipping you with a wide range of patternmaking and sewing skills. Learn techniques to craft your own collared shirts and fully lined skirts that exude sophistication and bring you closer to becoming an independent designer.
What You Will Learn:
- Digital designing of shirt and skirt based on physical body proportions using Procreate
- Skirt and shirt design variations and principles
- Manipulate basic bodice block patterns for tops into tailored shirts
- Draft collars and a variety of sleeve designs
- Develop skirt block patterns for a variety of designs
- Technical pack designing for production communication
- Alterations and making adjustments
- Construction and development of selected skirt and shirt designs
- Operate and utilize the sewing machine and overlock machine
New students will receive a complimentary set of 3 drafting rulers worth $30!
You're not required to bring anything for your first day of class. Kindly wear slightly tight-fitting clothing for measurement-taking. You may bring and change it here if you would like to. All sewing tools & domestic sewing machines will be provided for class use. Fabrics and zippers are not provided. You will be briefed on any further materials needed during class.
Classes start on time, please arrive 5 minutes earlier if possible.
