This landmark 2-day workshop in Singapore offers an unparalleled opportunity to study his proprietary draping and cutting techniques firsthand. Participants will develop advanced technical competencies while mastering his distinctive approach to three-dimensional garment construction, gaining insights that have shaped contemporary fashion design practice.

Materials required:

  • *Optional- bring your own pants basic block or use our S, M, L female sizes
  • 2.5 meters of denim (non-stretch) or 2 types of denim (1.5 meters each)
  • 8" normal/ trouser zipper
  • Masking tape (2 to 2.5cm width) x 2 rolls

Pre-requisite: Sewing and patternmaking skills

Sewing machine, sewing tools and rulers are provided. Materials are NOT provided.


ABOUT SHINGO SATO:

Japanese pattern artist and fashion design lecturer Shingo Sato holds worldwide pattern making seminars with TR Cutting School, which was founded by himself. The aesthetics of Shingo Sato’s extraordinary creations combine couture and architecture. In 2017 the master of pattern-innovation came to Germany for the first time. Shingo Sato's technique, called “Transformational Reconstruction Technique”, is a combination of two-dimensional cutting technique and three-dimensional draping on the bust.
