Bamboo Leaves X Blue Bee Tie Dye
The exquisite high-quality fabrics are made from Bai people’s natural indigo tie dye skills by hand-sewing and bundling pattern in Dali, Yunnan. Bai People’s tie-dyeing is known as “pimple dyeing”(疙瘩染)in the folk, that is, before the dyeing process, the white cloth is overlapped or tightened with needles and threads according to the designed pattern, presenting a “pimple” shape. After long time of dyeing and oxidation, the stitching can be unraveled, revealing beautiful and highly decorative patterns. There are high mountains and rich plant resources in Dali. All inspiration comes from the mountains, forests and lake valley. The Bai ethnic tie-dye patterns are mostly flowers, water ripples and decorative geometric elements. Bai people usually use the leaves of Strobilanthes cusia(马蓝 Indigo plants)to make indigo dye through fermentation process. It’s 100% natural and environmentally friendly.
