Intermediate Couture Beading & Embellishment by The English Tailoress

2 Full-day Session Workshop | Total of 14 hours: (7 hrs/session)  [Exclusive one-time only event]

This is a unique opportunity to learn Intermediate level Tambour beading and Couture embellishment with the International award winning English Tailoress in Singapore!

This 14 hour intermediate course follows on from the beginners course giving further techniques within the broderie des arts and how to apply it to haute couture fashion and interiors. The techniques surround a set design that covers the application of shadow-work to create colour changes and blocking on fine fabric. You will learn how to bead in a block, add chenille gathering and fabric manipulation. 3D beadwork and goldwork elements will be applied using a variety of techniques.
Beads applied include Swarovski lochrosen, seed beads (10 and 15/0), bugle beads, flat and sequins, all applied using the tambour hook.

Please remember although you will be learning in a mixed technique group, your class is tailored specifically to your progress.

Beading techniques from both days learnt are combined and applied to a small design to finish.

All materials are provided, please bring your tambour hook and frame for lesson

Classes start on time, please arrive 5 minutes earlier if possible.

ABOUT THE ENGLISH TAILORESS:

The English Tailoress trained in Handcraft tailoring at London College of Fashion to learn bespoke tailoring (Savile Row method) for men and women. She developed her technical skills by working in the fashion and costume industry on productions for theatre, opera, film and fashion designers showcasing at LFW and Paris Couture Week. Alongside her freelance work, she continued to work with individual clients designing and making bespoke tailoring and couture for special occasions.
