[Online Classes] Sleeveless Cheongsam

DESCRIPTION
The graceful silhouette shapes your curves and can be customised to any size. The traditional dress is modernised with a beautiful slit along the thigh with a binded closure to fill a row of cheongsam buttons.

For Online Class Only option: Patterns will be available only in softcopy. Physical patterns not included. Physical pattern available HERE.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

• Installing a mandarin collar
• Creating a bias bound edge with cheongsam buttons
• Using tools necessary for sewing
• Basic understanding of reading patterns & applying their uses
• Handling & usage of domestic overlock and sewing machine
• Clean-finishing fabric edges

*Opening for the cheongsam is at the centre back where the invisible zipper is.

• For those who purchased Online Class Only, you will need to print out your draft out before attending your Online Classes.
  
• Please allow up to 14 working days from submission of the measurements for us to send the draft (and Material Kit)

TOOLS & MATERIALS NEEDED:
(Kindly ensure you have all of these materials if you are not purchasing the Material Kit*)

Fabric:

• Option A (With Contrast)
  2m main fabric + 1.5m of contrast fabric, both in non-stretch cotton

• Option B (Without Contrast)
  3m of non-stretch cotton
  

Materials:

• 7-9 cheongsam buttons
• 2 packs of 12mm single-fold bias tape
• 22" invisible/concealed zipper
• 0.5m of thick fusible interfacing (for collar)

Tools:

• Ruler
• Fabric chalk or fabric marker
• Thread and bobbin
• Snippers
• Fabric scissors
• Pins or clips
• Iron
• Printer & Paper
• Sewing Machine
• Optional: Overlock Machine (or zig-zag stitch on Sewing Machine)

• All panels labelled

• Paper patterns in both softcopy and hardcopy
