[Online Classes] Contemporary Cheongsam (with Expansion Pack)

DESCRIPTION
This lovely contemporary cheongsam comes in various options for you to choose which to sew up. Your interpretation of it can give this dress a retro or modish flair with your choice of prints! 

For Online Class Only option: Patterns will be available only in softcopy. Physical patterns not included. Physical pattern available HERE.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

• How to sew up an open-back* top with bias binding
• Installing a concealed/ invisible zipper*
• How to sew and install a normal, puff and flutter sleeve
• Adding the bottom of romper-style pants to your cheongsam
• Sewing up a tulip and flared skirt
• Handling & using the sewing & overlock machine
• Many sewing tips and finishing techniques that you can apply to your various projects
  

*Opening for the cheongsam is at the centre back where the invisible zip is located.

4. Kindly check your email. You will receive an email to set your password and access the student portal.

Note:

• For those who purchased Online Class Only, you will need to print out your draft out before attending your Online Classes.
  
• Please allow up to 14 working days from submission of the measurements for us to send the draft (and Material Kit).

WHAT DO I NEED?

TOOLS & MATERIALS NEEDED:
(Kindly ensure you have all of these materials if you are not purchasing the Material Kit*)

Fabric:

• 4m non-stretch cotton (min. 60" width fabric for flared skirt)
  

Materials:

• 22" concealed/ invisible zipper (for those who opt for open back design, please purchase 18" concealed zip instead)
• 1 pack of 12mm single-fold bias tape
• 1 to 3 cheongsam buttons (as desired)
• 1 pair of hook & eye (for those who opt for open back design, please purchase 2 pairs of hook and bar instead)
• 0.5m light-weight interfacing

Tools:

• Ruler
• Fabric chalk or fabric marker
• Thread and bobbin
• Snippers
• Fabric scissors
• Pins or clips
• Iron
• Printer & Paper
• Sewing Machine
